ROCKY MOUNT – Peggy Fogleman Skinner, age 90, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2021. Born in Burlington, NC, on August 11, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Dover and Vallie Fogleman. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Bill Fogleman.
For more than 65 years, Peggy lived in Rocky Mount, here she devoted her life to her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her friends. She was an avid reader, a talented cook, a gracious hostess, and an engaging conversationalist. In all that she did, Peggy exemplified charm and grace. Her family and friends will certainly miss her warmth, kindness and laughter.
Peggy is survived by her five children, Berkley Skinner (Susan), Debbie Sebrell, Sherry Howell (Larry), Edwin Skinner, and David Skinner (Cindy); her eight grandchildren, Ashley Sebrell, Rob Sebrell, Allison Hopkins (Greg), Adam Howell (Rhonda), Ross Howell, Clark Howell (Lindsay), Carrington Skinner (Brett), and Katie Skinner; her six great-grandchildren; her sister, Jean Scott Walker; her sister-in-law, Delores Fogleman and many nieces and nephews.
Per Peggy’s instructions, a private celebration of her life will be held in Burlington at a later date.
The family would like to thank the staff at Spring Arbor of Rocky Mount, as well as Hospice of Nash for their love and care.
