July 18, 1945 - April 13, 2022

ROCKY MOUNT – On April 13, 2022, Rocky Mount lost a popular and respected educator, Dr. David B. West, 76, psychology professor emeritus at Nash Community College. Dr. West was a dynamic and award-winning teacher who influenced countless students in his 33-year career at Nash through his courses in psychology, art history, statistics, computer science, and sociology of the family. David’s wit, intelligence, affability, sense of humor, and gleeful laugh will be missed by all who knew him. Donations in David’s memory may be made to the Nash Community College Faculty Senate Scholarship, c/o Nash CC Foundation, P. O. Box 7488, Rocky Mount, NC  27804-0488.
